youtube.com — Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) introduced himself to Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA) today on the House floor. In an earlier letter to his constituents, Goode attacked Ellison ? the first Muslim elected to Congress ? and warned ?American citizens? to ?wake up? or ?there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office.?

I love that people think that Ellison is the greatest guy ever... a little research into his past shows otherwise

Being from the Ellison's district it was quite annoying to be bombarded by the NeoCon Terror mongers the whole election season... He didn't dodge any legitimate questions but ignored the rather rabid NeoCon noise makers... He showed ALOT more class than his competition thus the result of the vote in the district. Considering the Repubs in the state regularly committed far greater transgressions than Mr. Ellison did, including the re-elected Governor, I would have to ask what the character of the people who re-elected the Governor is?Sounds like NeoCon sour grapes that their ideology has been soundly rejected by most Americans.

Well, I'm here you racist mother f#cker. So deal with it."What in the world does race have to do with it? A Muslim can be of any race.

What's hilarious here (to me anyway) is that most people here have no idea that this douche isn't a racist. What's even more incredible is that neither does he! A muslim is like a jew. A person of a particular faith. Islam, to be specific. You can't find musland on a map. There's no race known as muslim. There's no place muslims come from. They are just like any other religious people.Sadly, Fox's incredibly hard-hitting reporting style meant Goode didn't actually have to answer the questions asked of him. Instead he gave typical political rhetoric about constituents and whatnot. I wish for once there were a politician I could walk up to on the street and ask, "Sir or Madam, what is your position subject X" and get a real answer. An honest opinion. Of course, that will only happen in my fantasy land. Oh well.
