No one forces you to buy insurance. Taxes are legalized extortion.

It wasn't just an "act of God." The problems were the mismanagement of pumping stations and the lack of funds put into improving the levee system. The biggest tragedy of Katrina is that most of the problems involved were completely avoidable.

well, they should have to prove GOD exists and since he is just an imaginary friend from some people's point of view, that would be quite hard. I guess it just proves they have no credibility if they blame such events on an imaginary friend (or should it be imaginary enemy?)

I still remember the day I realised that insurance companies do not work for their customer but only to create returns for share holders. An insurance company will happily receive fees from a customer for years but do anything in their power to dismiss a claim.

We started a new forum up and felt that the insurance topic fits it well:http://www.bigmoneyforum.com/make-money-forum/forumdisplay.php?f=236I'm sure many people would like to discuss these insurance issues such as the terms and conditions of insurance policies and where you become the victims. We would like to invite storm damage victims and even people knowledgeable in the issue above. I think the whole issue of the katrina storm case was pretty confusing and some corrupt things happened over there, especially the FEMA disaster. In terms of the insurance issue, we'll have to see what happens.my 2 cents
