youtube.com — "Slapping your computer across the face is not good karma" - Many people commented that the original SmackBook was too violent. This new version looks like it uses the ambient light sensor to switch desktops. The result? Switching desktops with the wave of a hand...you've got to see this video..

what about if youre working in a building and someone opens the door to the brighter outside world? or if youre a passenger in a car and youre passing trees. or ... if ... youre at a fireworks show for the 4th of july? its interesting, i'll give it that, but i certainly wouldnt ever use it.

The site mentioned in the video (<a class="user" href="http://blog.medallia.com/karma/)">http://blog.medallia.com/karma/)</a> states that the code will be up later today. Hopefully we'll be able to try this out soon...

"why lift your hand from the keyboard when you can just assign a shortcut and save time. (albiet not much, but it adds up)"Now where's the fun in that? If I could wave my hand to gesture letters or words to type, that would be awesome. :)

Will your desktop switch when you turn off the lights? I assume the sensor is sensitive enough to use in the dark?

Cool, now when their's a bunch of MacBook Pros in a room with this software ill just turn the lights off and on real quick to F with them. Its like the commercial when the guy is trying to drink his coffee in the car and the driver keeps stopping short when he tries to take a drink. Cool beans, I guess.
