fatalflaw: if you want to install linux, just get a full-fledged desktop linux, like ubuntu/kubuntu or fedora core or debian, knoppix is meant to be run as a live-cd. you can only have one OS per partition, so get a program like partition magic, to create a new partition. if you tried to install linux on the windows partition, you WILL LOSE EVERYTHING. so create a new logical partition, and install form there. there are a bazillion windows/dual boot guides out there. here's one just in case (its ubuntu-specific)http://www.hezardastan.org/breezy_xp_dualboot/en/

Thanks, but I'll wait for the official mirrors and official torrent tracker, all listed at http://www.knopper.net/knoppix-mirrors/index-en.html to have something that claims to be KNOPPIX 5, rather than some random person uploading a torrent that claims to be it. Call me paranoid...

This came out a couple weeks ago...It wasn't English, but it's not hard to switch the language when booting.
