If you have a bluetooth phone, or an older mac without the Apple Remote; Salling Clicker ( http://www.salling.com ) might be something worth looking into, if you like the idea of remotely controlling your mac (or windows machine)

Works great, but I can't help but notice the absence of the Finder on the list of controllable applications. Seems a little silly that you would still have to use the keyboard/mouse to get to the files you want to control.

I believe the idea is that the launcher can be used for this purpose, so you don't have to search on your desktop for the app you want to control. Simply add the item to the launcher list and you have instant access to whatever app you want from an easy to navigate menu.
