msnbc.msn.com — A state lawmaker from San Francisco has introduced legislation to decriminalize marijuana and regulate it like alcohol. It has been endorsed by a retired Orange County judge who used to be a federal prosecutor. In his view, it's 'high time' -- so to speak -- for another approach to marijuana.

the only way pot can "destroy" someone is if a 2,000lb pallet of weed falls on them.

But not nearly as fun as watching your little baby grow to over 2 feet tall and have lots of nice smelling pretty flowers on it ;-)

Its time to "weed" out these puns, and "hash" out a new plan for the "pot"ential legalisation.

Exactly. Let's see, a gallon of water weighs 8.33lbs. So 200 x 8.33 means I'd be able to grow 1,666 pounds of bud! Average plant does 2.5lbs of bud so that would be 666.4 plants. A regular growhouse.

"Alcohol- no therapeutic use" - wrong. Alcohol in moderation has been shown to increases HDL, lowers blood pressure, inhibits blood clotting and helps prevent arterial damage by LDL. All of these are good for your heart. I'm all for legalizing Marijuana, but demonizing alcohol and pretending it has no health benefits is only going to alienate people who choose alcohol as their drug of choice. Learn the facts about alcohol before you knock it, or you'll just alienate people who do know. this is from http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/guide/heart-dis ...They go on to say doctors do not recommend drinking alcohol one way or the other for your health, but they are clearly not talking about cardiologists. As someone who worked in a Cardiologist office and who's dad has had a heart attack, I know from first hand experience that cardiologists do recommend drinking a glass every day to people at risk for heart disease (the biggest killer in America, about 34% of people will die from heart disease, so a majority will be at risk eventually)

I figured as much, I was shooting low for the typical responseI'd got. I imagine its probably double.
