Sony's PR dept is just f**ked... they have to be amateurs. They are immature, reactive, and dragging down this giant company at the speed of sound.As far as Sony should be concerned, any rumour is a good rumour-- rumours mean they are gaining mind share.... what they need to avoid is the actual news of the company, especially since they are doing so poorly.They should be open, and honest... they've taken a massive beating from marching to the old drum and acting the same they were when they were on top-- they have to face a cynical and skeptical consumer base and media with the utmost honesty, even with their own failures.And lastly they need to learn from their mistakes.So to Sony, fire the assh**e in charge of PR and hire me.
I seriously don't understand what's with all the people kissing Sony's ass, they're one of the most anti-consumer companies I know of. What other company installs f**king rootkits on music CDs? Everyone wants to jump on the playstation bandwagon, yet the only thing playstation is known for is other people's work. The playstation brand hasn't been responsible for a unique or innovative idea in their entire history and the only games it's known for are 3rd party. The playstion brand has absolutely nothing unique about it besides sales figures for one generation.

Majority here don't like Sony (not me specifically, I don't see myself a fanboy of any type). Hasn't been responsible for gaming innovation? Well, that's a matter of opinion which I won't bother to discuss because it's just YOUR opinion. As for good Sony developed games, how about God of War, Gran Turismo, Jak and Daxter (if I'm not mistaken, Sony bought Naughty Dog way back). Let's not forget all the exclusives, and I mean exclusives like Final Fantasy series on the PS2 the Rachet and Clank series. Your post just bleeds fanboyism. And don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing all consoles, but you know what I am a fanboy of: games not consoles.Perhaps they didn't want it printed not because it would confirm rumors, more like not wanting people expectations to get too high. Not that makes the situation any better.
Anyone else disturbed by all the digging down of reasonable "negative" reactions to Sony's actions? Usually digg is pretty anti-sony (whether deserved or not), and to see a quick flip flop in the other direction, where it's actually warranted, is a bit strange. I'd almost start to wonder exactly who is doing the negative digging? Aggies
