"Do you think Irvin Kershner, the director of Empire Strikes Back, didn't call any shots? Do you really think George Lucas made every creative decision there was on Star Wars?" You just contradicted yourself. Kershner was THE DIRECTOR of Empire Strikes back. Not only did he make changes, he altered the script during filming. And do you know why he was not overruled? Because its against Director's Guild rules, which specify contract standards. So you go right ahead and graduate. You spend five years lining up the financing for your film and then see how you like it when some spiked-hair rectangle head lying assbag starts following you around on the set bitching about the script. I wish you all the luck.

Buffy lasted for seven seasons. I can understand that the other shows were very popular as well, but Buffy was just as popular as those shows and lasted for seven seasons. The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Whedon's work is not Firefly, it is definitely Buffy.
