huffingtonpost.com — If you're taking a break from crazy this August and refuse to watch cable news, you may have missed some town hall kerfuffles lead by the least-informed, yet loudest, sector of the Republican party. These town halls focus on explaining and answering questions about Obama's health care reform plan, but the people yelling and screaming at the

woah, woah, woah. from where i'm sitting it appears pretty obvious that the republican party, specifically conservatives, are by and large intentionally torpedoing anything with obama's name on it whether it would be good for our country or not just to make him look bad. coming from texas i was raised very strongly that if you try to destroy basic functions of government to pursue a personal agenda than that borders on treason.code pink was a protest group. what they were not, very pointedly, was backed by a major television "news" station or a large number of members of congress out to make bush look bad. in point of fact they were widely viewed, both by the media and by most members of congress, as a fringe group.

DiggPiglet,Wow, ignorant to the end eh?Look, when you subvert the democratic PROCESS (not party!) of debate to build consensus you are being Un-American. Standing up at townhall meetings and shouting down legitimate questions, answers and debate is frankly the actions of a spoiled child. You gop'ers need to stop acting like children and participate PROPERLY in the process or you WILL be left behind and your voices not heard at all.You can't stop progress, but you can help aim it.It's your choice.

yes, FACTS are frightening. better to digest the pabulum spoon-fed you by your government. Hey, I am reasonable. Maybe everything is on the up-and-up. If so, why do they think it (birth certificate, school transcripts, publishing/reading legislation BEFORE it is passed) can't stand up to the light of day.....? You should be thankful that someone is willing to do the heavy-lifting for you of upholding our form of government. If you think we are only allowed to participate in our government in the voting booth, you need a remedial civics lesson, my friend!
