huffingtonpost.com — Jon Stewart committed a lengthy opening segment (June 4 show) to President Obama's speech in the Middle East last night. Then he got to the funny part: Fox News' crazypants coverage of the same events. Watch the video and see for yourself. Thanks @huffpostcomedy for the link.

Current market pressure hasn't done anything to bring prices down, otherwise we wouldn't be considering universal healthcare. Pharmaceuticals practically sponsor private practices to push their new drugs on those with premium healthcare, keeping competitors rates higher also. Innovation comes with the billions spent on government and private grants to the scientific community.Comparing the US to the Asian Tigers is a bit unrealistic because of the different cultures. In US, a person goes to the doctor when there is a even a rumor of a sneeze. China's health care system is terrible, they too are looking at universal healthcare.

I wish Jon Stewart would get a legitimate news television show (not saying Daily Show isn't legitimate, but it's still a comedy show). A lot of us rely on him to call out these idiots and I think an actual NEWS show with him on it would be refreshing and helpful to the entire country.

'Canadian mirror' is slang for the act of making someone feel bad about themselves.

You're absolutely right. All of cable "news" is also too "cutesie" and self-promoting too.Fox however, is actually vicious and extremely dangerous to our country. They helped get Bush elected twice, for example... and, even given everything that people have found out over the past couple years, they would unashamedly do it AGAIN!I wonder how many people despise Faux "News" as I do, but are still part of the audience of TV and radio stations that are owned by and/or affiliated with Fox.In addition, how many people still use other products/services owned by the overall Fox conglomerate (NewsCorp), such as Myspace, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, Dow Jones & Co., Harper Collins publishers, Parents magazine, etc. [You can see a much more complete list at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newscorp ] They even own the Speed channel and a majority of the National Geographic channel. The only effective way to fight back against Faux's daily smears and right-wing propaganda is to stop giving them money, directly or indirectly in the form of audience-related ad revenue.Until people get really serious about this and help to spread the word about the Total Fox Boycott, nothing will change, except that they might help elect the next George Bush clone.

@DiggPiglet"Liberals are why conservatives believe there is a Satan also."Yes, since only Satan would be in favor of laws that let black people live in your neighborhood.Providing affordable health care for senior citizens is obviously the work of Lucifer.Only Satan could want black people to be able to intermarry with white people. Only Satan would want women and blacks to be able to vote. Providing subsidized lunches for poor children is clearly the work of the devil. Creating the FDIC to insure people's bank savings is yet another example of Satan's work. Satan is the only explanation for why we have laws against child labor. And bringing electricity to rural areas? Obviously the Prince of Darkness must have been behind it.[sarcasm] Yes, we liberals are certainly an evil lot. [/sarcasm]

BBC is biased as hell. There is no news service out there that is unbiased. You just have to watch / read them all and piece together the facts.I wish there was a service that just delivered the facts, with no spin or bulls**t. Yeah it would be downright boring, but hey at least people wouldn't get so worked up about their bulls**t and go about shooting abortion doctors. Or maybe the facts would be lead to even more inciteful behaviour since they can't be toned down with euphemisms or concealed?
