Just point them to the Fourteenth Amendment, which established that all you have to do is be born in America to qualify as a natural born citizen. The reason why this Amendment was enacted? Southern racists were trying to use the excuse that the parents of former slaves were not native citizens, therefore their children couldn't be native born citizens either. The same argument that birthers are using against Obama.This Amendment was upheld in the Supreme Court case known as The United States v. Wong Kim Ark, which was a case of a Chinese guy born in San Francisco to Chinese nationals. He went to visit China and customs tried to bar his entrance to the U.S. due to the Chinese Exclusion Act.
Agreed, I can't stand Obama's policies but this is not something that is relevant to my interests. I don't even care where he was born, I care about his policies.
