thinkprogress.org — McCain has introduced legislation to treat blogs like ISPs, where commercial websites and personal blogs “would be required to report illegal images or videos posted by their users or pay fines of up to $300,000.”

Koopa,So why did the Clinton Administration - and its supporters in the US on both sides of the aisle - go along with these baseless allegations, and make war upon the Serbs? There are a lot of reasons why that would have suited their interests at that particular time. Suffice it to say that the movie "Wag the Dog" was made for a reason. It is also likely that they figured that it would be a good idea to fight on behalf of the Muslims in the Balkans, with an eye to gaining favor with Saudi Arabia and other Middle East oil interests, so as to guarantee an ample supply of petroleum in the future. From the point of view of the Bosnian Muslims and the KLA, it's a desire for money, territory, and power. They have been, and still are, doing everything they could to persecute, expel or kill all of the Christian Serbs that they could, simply because they were Christian. They were, and are, trying to obliterate all traces of Christian Serb presence in the areas under their control, so that they could falsely claim that the Christians were never there in the first place. This has involved not only opening graves and scattering their contents, but also destroying grave markers, demolishing and obliterating medieval churches and monasteries, and even ransacking tombs of saints. Everyone was disgusted with the Taliban for destroying the statues of Buddha at Bamiyan, but this destruction was far more widespread, and nobody in the West is much concerned about it.

Myko,Wherever you were living when you were in Kosovo, it was never a "Serbian-run death camp," because there never was such a thing. Assuming you are telling the truth about having been in the Army in Kosovo--and I must say that I have my doubts because Myko doesn't sound like an American name, and because you started right in to call me a psychotic--you had been sent there to fight on the wrong side. Your handlers couldn't very well tell you the truth about that, so they had to indoctrinate you to eliminate the risk that you might listen to a Serb and start believing what he or she had to say. Obviously by now, there's no chance of that happening - if you hear anything on behalf of the Serbs, you'll automatically discount it as "Serb propaganda."To make a long story short, there was an elaborate frame-up job to get us involved in the war, just as there was with the Gulf of Tonkin incident, and the incubator babies (nonexistent) before the first Gulf War. It's happened before, and it'll happen again, because folks like you are so gullible. The details of how this particular PR job was done are on the Emperors Clothes website:http://www.tenc.com ...and unless and until you have solid proof to refute all of the evidence they show on their website, don't go calling me a "psychotic."Nevrast, Prammy, et. al.:Srebrenica is another instance of the false accusations discussed in my reply to Myko above. In this case, the Muslim combatants never attempted to surrender to the Serbs, nor did the Serbs kill them en masse. The Serbs did kill some of them in combat, after which time, the Muslims either made a fighting retreat or simply fled to parts unknown. Most of the Muslim combatants were not killed; many turned up in other units later on, or showed up on voter rolls and the like. For all I know, they're probably still alive now. It just sounded better from their point of view to claim that the Serbs killed them, rather than admitting that they ran away.

I used to think that John McCain was sorta cool, but this is really MESSED UP. If he continues with this stuff I'll definitely work against him in '08.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WILL HAPPEN.I lived in Chicago for many years. It was, and is, common for the cops to shoot someone they don't like, then leave a cheap, untraceable "drop gun" on the victim's body so that they can claim that the victim had been threatening them with a firearm.Another thing they did (and still do) regularly, to silence whistleblowers, is to plant drugs on someone's premises to use as a pretext for arrest, confiscating property, beatings, or worse. The issue is all about too much government power. Parental supervision and watchfulness - not the government "nanny state" - is the only efffective way to protect kids from molesters.

Barack Obama!? You must be kidding. He's just the opposite side of the same coin. Democrats are every bit as bad as Republicans when it comes to nanny statism--there's just different things they want to stick their noses in. If you want to try something different, vote for Ron Paul.
