10zenmonkeys.com — An bizarre in-world "griefing" group perpetrated last week's assault on John Edwards. The candidate's virtual HQ in Second Life was just their latest target in ongoing sprees of wilding Second Life with penis guns, Bill Cosby posters, and Nintendo's Mario. They even uploaded music videos of their attacks to YouTube! Don't blame Bush, blame griefers

There would have to be such a server, and few can handle that kind of flash traffic.

Hey young voter I am one of you! I am on Second Live... please ignore the rapidly bankrupting social security system that you pay into and will get nothing out of.

I actually use to do this to furries and such, it's awesome. It was grouped by 7chan when I did it. They did the same kind of stuff, but no idea if they had anything to do with it.
In 10 years Second Life may no longer be around, but the immersive 3d metaverse sure as hell will be in one form or another.
There isn't a real need for it. I see something more along the lines of 3D extensions to the WWW. Such as virtual showrooms and duplicates of real-world locations. I think it will be coupled with live video as well.Other than that, it's more time-consuming to travel around in 3D that browse webpages if you are looking for content. So the potential is really in advertising, sales, and gaming. The virtual concert stuff, etc., is pretty lame and I don't think it will take off. I'd rather see live video, which could be interactive (choose from multiple camera views yourself), of a concert than a fake version of it.

The only thing I can say to the Edwards people is "Welcome to the Internets, motherf**kers."

They're already banned in Britain.

Wrong kiddo, ebaumsworld doesn't do anything funny, ever. they just steal from everybody else. It's a law of the internet.

I don't approve of use of Second Life for political ads. Nor do I approve of publicizing vandals' actions and exploits. Neither politicians nor vandals deserve the press; a pox on both their houses.Buried.
