carolinajournal.com — Presidential candidate John Edwards may talk a lot about his humble beginnings, but what he may not talk about the 10,400 square foot house he owns in North Carolina. The recreation building contains a basketball court, a squash court, two stages, a bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms, swimming pool, a four-story tower, and a room called "John's Lounge."

God bless John Edwards for helping rid America of trauma centers and pediatricians. He is a real hero.<a class="user" href="http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2002/Feb-20-Wed-2002/news/18140873.html">http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2002/Feb-20-Wed-2002/news/18140873.html</a>

I don't care how big a house he lives in. I don't care how much money he makes. I don't have an envious, greedy bone in my body. I do wonder how he can be tasked to provide affordable medical care for all Americans when he's one of the people who is responsible for making medical care so expensive. Lawsuits by ambulance chasers like Edwards have not only made medical care unaffordable for the average American, they have driven a lot of doctors out of business because they can't pay their malpractice insurance.

Actually the house is 29,000 square feet.<a class="user" href="http://www.newsobserver.com/643/story/537175.html">http://www.newsobserver.com/643/story/537175.html</a>Now, anyone who doesn't think that is an absurd amount of house is insane.

John Edwards, job creator. I wonder how many illegal immigrants he's hired to help run his house.

SO? I'm not sure why this is news, the conservative ridicule machine seems to be trying to make hay out of anything. Why is this even an issue for republicants. The GOP bootlickers are grasping at straws. If one would have compared Edwards to dubya...Well lets just say a successful lawyer would make a better president than a failed businessman.

I don't see the problem here - John Edwards is the son of a blue collar worker. His is the American dream.

So...Can anyone name a presidential candidate who didn't have loads of money? Or a ridiculously large house? We're done right?

By the way a 6 million dollar home in Fairfield county Connecticut is really a shed. that goes for a California home too.
