It's about time that someone with some weight in the GOP came out and finally tackle a complex issue with a sensible approach. I actually admired Sen. Graham for placing his support for reform, but he dissappointed when his support derailed to whimsical Washington petiness. I believe a climate bill is also extremely important, but there's no reason to be able to fully support two bills and bring about reform to two problems that for far too long have remained ignored. Sen Graham lost a notch in my book. If anything positive came out of Arizona's SB 1070, is that it shone a proper spotlight to immigration. And i am glad that the public, the media and the polititians noticed it enough to at least begin a serious dialogue. I certainly hope that Sen. Cornyn's backing will finally 'snowball' greater support within the GOP. Besides this being a great political move and some republican damage control, and a growing latino constituency, i think that it's a no brainer for the border state senator. I hope Sen. Cornyn follows trough with a bipartisan solution that is long overdue. The US only stands to gain in so many levels from a comprehensive immigration reform bill. I mean, duh!!!!!
