wjla.com — We have the tape of a 911 call made by John McCain's brother earlier this week. He called the police emergency line because he was angry he was stuck in traffic: Operator: Sir, are you calling 911 to complain about traffic? (pause); Caller: "(Expletive) you." (caller hangs up).

Well since you assume that I am not one of the 5%, I will assume that you aren't an economist. Raising taxes on ANYONE during a recession will cause more job loss and further recession. The elite have convinced me of nothing---it's just simple economics. The Democrats seem to have a problem with people being wealthy and people being poor. That is what happens when you have a free market. Yes, some people are poor, but there are opportunities out there for everyone and if you say that isn't so, you are lying. It all depends on how hard you work to achieve your goals. When you say that there should be no extremely rich, you get into the realm of socialism. You are forcing the wealthy to pay for an overblown government and their agendas that cater to keeping people in subjection to the government. I am not voting with my pocketbook though. I am voting for freedom. I do not care for the government getting larger and larger and more and more intrusive. I listen to talk radio---the Democrats want to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. I homeschool my children---the Democrats want to force me to put my children in a school that is failing and overrun by illegal immigrants. The Democrats have already stated that they want more control over people in this country. I just refuse to be one of the sheep that the Democrats lead around by the nose. Larger and more powerful governments never benefit anyone.

With his admission, you now have proof. Thank you capnkurt.I think he was actually trying to get information about whether or not there was a traffic accident. Was it dumb? Yes.Was it improper use of 911? Yes.Should he be charged with improper use of 911 (whatever it is called)? Yes.Does this mean his bother is unfit for the presidency? Nope.

Well, he was certainly in the wrong and I don't want to look like I'm defending him because I'm anything but pro-McCain. But the truth of the matter (speaking as a 911 dispatcher), is that this is purely common-place. The vast majority of calls to 911 are to report petty non-emergency anger-issues. Unfortunately, the politicians in administrative positions in police departments are so deathly frightened of being interpreted as telling people not to report issues, that the problem is being allowed to continue and expand. For most people, 911 has simply become a number of convenience to reach police because they never take the time to find the proper number for non-emergency issues. This has turned the whole 911 system into a useless joke. The solution; charge $1 for all cell phone calls to 911 and repeal the 911 tax.
