bilerico.com — Bilerico Project writer Steve Ralls absolutely nails Bobby Jindal and the hypocrites of the "pro-family values" wing of the GOP. They're only pro their own family's values, whether that includes eulogizing skanky Ann Coulter who think women should not vote or corrupt hypocritical anti-gay loons. Checkidout.

Louisiana has a long history of political corruption, therefore, I doubt too many will take Jindal seriously in New Orleans regarding his new anti-gay attention seeking tactic. New Orleans has a large gay community that won't take this too well. Perhaps Jindal will end up in the ranks of Mayor Moon Landreiu, Governor Edwards, who is now in prison for corruption, the New Orleans police dept, probably one of the most corrupt depts anywhere in recent history. Jindal, putting himself first, a La. political norm, his name out there in hopes of making it as the GOP hopeful in 2012. That's what all this is about with him. Putting yourself first in a state you're supposed to represent is about as self absorbed as you can get.tAt the bottom of the article:"Tell Governor Jindal to put families first and remove anti-gay bigots from his Commission. Call the Governor's Mansion at (225) 342-0991".

I suppose this nonsense sells in the home areas of the Republican base. If they can't get support for their bigoted and intolerant beliefs there, they won't get them anywhere. What they're trying to do is cocoon themselves against reality, seeking comfort in each others "embrace" so to speak. But however the recent elections went, they're still dangerous. The Supreme Court, if not the nation, IS center-right and Bush's policies have severely damaged the Wall of Separation. There is much work to be done and I hope Obama's moderating influence can mitigate some of the worst excesses of the so-called Religious Right.Let us hope too that the people of Louisiana will find friends in the ACLU, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and other such groups. Clearly, real family values, as opposed to repression cloaked in the guise of family values, are threatened, and we must respond, both here and in blogs, by phone calls and letters to the media and to our representatives, in an attempt to open eyes, to educate, to bring before the American people this threat to civil liberties. If this is what "real American family values" is about, then we don't want it, folks. We don't want it and we don't need it. Nor do we want any part of their "real America." My vote is we give them a piece of "real America" somewhere far out in the Pacific, or perhaps the Maldives, which are sinking. I'm certain the US would benefit from a little diversity and almost anyone is certain to be more open-minded than these cretins.

Bobby Jindal is a sellout. I have nothing wrong with Indian Americans (dots or feathers), but he has gained a despicable pride and arrogance from being the lapdog of the right wing.
