tvsquad.com — In many ways, the characters of 'Lost' have been on one long, harrowing season of 'Survivor' -- except enduring on the island is a matter of life and death, not popularity votes. Jimmy Kimmel makes this all too real with a couple of hilarious alternate endings on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

So I woke up this morning and realized that Lost is mother f**king Evangelion. If you know what that is, do you eagerly await the movie? If you don't know what it is, google and watch to be as left feeling roughly the same as you do now, but throw in giant robots that bleed.

Two of the best shows have the worst endings. Lost didn't end as bad as Battlestar at least, BSG went down in flames with dancing toy robots.

This. The ending by itself was nice and pretty and beautiful. But it wasn't lost. It didn't answer anything. It was a copout that answered questions introduced in the previous 2-3 weeks. What would happen if the man in black left the island? All we were told in "Across the Sea" was that his fake mother didn't want him to go.What is the island? What is the light? Why didn't Jack become a smoke monster when he touched the light? What's with the special powers of Miles, Walt, Hurley (mandatory: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT)?Why couldn't they just let the island be destroyed? What did Whitmore want (this one may have been answered and I'm just stupid)? How did they get the tree off Benjamin Linus?

Had they really had 4 alt. endings, it would have gone against their "We've had the end since the beginning (well, at some point during Season 1)

not sure, but I started watching the finale off the DVR at about 9:30-9:40 and I only caught up to real time about 11.

Yes. YES. I'm glad I'm not the only one to see this. I hope that the LOST finale will make more sense and gain more layers of meaning upon future viewings just like Eva, but I'm kinda not counting on it.

Thank god I DVR'd Jimmy Kimmel. We were looking forward to seeing the "Alternate Lost Endings" and were dissappointed. The interviews were interesting... But that info was also mostly covered in the 2 hour "Catch Up" that aired JUST BEFORE the final episode. So I was able to fast forward and not waste an hour of my time.I still would have DVR'd it if they had properly advertised the episode as a "Follow up with the cast of Lost" and then enjoyed the "Alternate" endings for what they were, funny.Jimmy Kimmel however is not funny, not even amusing. He was the most boreing part of the show. It would have been better if he was not there, and they skipped the "Funny Alternate Endings" and just let the cast talk about the final episode, like they talked about the whole series in the 2 hour "Catchup" episode before the final one.

Weird, the night of the finale I was talking to a friend about Lost ending and actually talked about the Newhart ending.
