Jimmy Carter, Jimmy Carter. Isn't he the idiot who turned Iran over to the Ayatollahs and Nicaraugua to the Sandinistas? Isn't he the one who wrecked the U.S. economy, eliminated energy supplies and then blamed these problems on the American people? Jimmy and Obama, cut from the same cloth. At least we know what to expect when we have an ultra-left wing idiot in the White House for 4 years. Just hope he doesn't start a thermo nuclear war before the country wizes up and replaces him with a Republican.

I guess that was Carter's fault somehow?), an unpredicted sandstorm that screwed up a lot of equipment and insufficient helicopters to carry out the original mission plan all contributed.I can find numerous references to the mission being planned as a joint force and communications difficulties emerging because of this, but not one that indicates that it was "being planned" as a single team mission (being planned by who?) until Carter intervened. The communication failures were MILITARY failures that led to changes in joint mission structure and the formation of USSOCOM.I think, good sir, that you might be talking out your ass. Just a hunch, though. This is usually the case when anonymous internet posters critique the mission strategy of complex military operations based on biased second-hand sources they choose not to even share.
