I hear your point. I guess I just keep waiting for some consistency in programming. For my wife to ask me about Ctrl.alt.chicken and if there are any new episodes, tells me that if they put out some broad content, people will watch. I enjoyed the Sopranos, but man, one & two years between seasons kills momentum. With Alex hosting, they had a decent, off topic, geeky kind of show that had some appeal. Then, boom, nothing. My point is, for them to attract some names, they must have something in the pipeline. I hope they do.
with net video obviously profitable as Rev3 has proven, now kevin can pay all the old techtv people to come back, pat, leo, robert, roger, and dvorak are the only people left to bring into Rev3 until it officially becomes TechTV2!!!! TSS2!!!!
I agree. Ctrl.Alt.Chicken was quality. It had two problems. 1. There were too many effects going on. At on point I think Alex said they had to get a new guy to do them. It's a COOKING SHOW! Why did it need all that crap.2. They were done "when we get around to it" Apparently Alex's girlfriend actually gets gigs occasionally so she couldn't do it. Why can't we get some more reliable people? I'm hoping that's what 8 million buys you.
So Jim Louderback is jumping ship at PC Mag before he gets canned eh? I have to think Louderback's not as "expensive" a CEO as he was previously - the guy took over PC Magazine and basically drove it into the dirt. You should read his replies, comments, to veteran subscribers offering advice. With Louderback, it's apparently his way or the hi-way, even while the ship is quickly sinking. Don't get me wrong, I loved Jim on TechTV reviewing new products and gadgets, but as a CEO I think he sucks.
for "Wonky73""That's it for this edition of What's New Now, and in fact it's my last WNN. I've been at it here for almost five years, and it's time to move on. Thanks to everyone for reading, sending me thoughts, and even complaining. What's New Now will go on, but I'm off to my new job over at web video company Revision3, and Lance Ulanoff will take the helm of WNN. Does this mean they have a big content distubution deal with DISH, Direct TV, Comcast, TimeWarner and/or AT&T?

I've always suspected the name "Revision3" comes from ZDTV being revision 1, TechTV being revision 2, etc.
