searchenginejournal.com — Jason Calacanis was the keynote guest this morning at Search Engine Strategies where he announced his new position at Sequoia Capital as "Entrepreneur in Action" while making livid comments on Digg.com, Digg's user base of 12 year olds, spamming & social news, SEO being 'bullsh*t' and the pay per post blogging model.

He's an idiot. Why would a room full of smart people listen to someone say some of the crap that was spilling out of his mouth? Yes, Netscape copied Digg. But they did a poor job of it. And if SEO is "Bulls**t" tell that to the company that I just took out of the gutter and brought up to the first page for every major term on our list. I'm sure my boss would enjoy the laugh.

Nice recap. This really made me lose respect for Calacanis in a big way. Also after the SEO is bulls**t comment - hmmm - I have a feeling he is going to have some reputation management damage control to take care of online...

And by "reputation management damage control" you mean a lot of SEOs making sure he ranks VERY well for the term "lame ass" just to show him that SEO is not bulls**t. Who's down? I'm going to anchor text a few links right now to his Wiki page:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_CalacanisLet's use the wiki page instead of his home page because - even though link building is bulls**t - we wouldn't want to give him any link popularity from our bulls**t SEO blogs.
