popsiclesblog.blogspot.com — I personally love playing FFXI, but as of late Thursday night, it stopped working. Others are experiencing the same problems. Time Warner refuses to acknowledge it is a problem on their end and believes it is a problem on Playonline's end. Other reports of some Japanese sites have been reported in other forums. Pass the information!

so adelphia referred me to road runner and then road runner hung up on me after referring me back to adelphia, and the last adelphia rep reset my cable modem during chat, which obviously reset me and essentially again hung up the chat, indicating she left becuase i left the room, and reason for leaving the room was cable modem reset performed on their end. Ironically a chat with them a year ago they stated they did not have the ability to reset my modem, but here it happens again. They like to just to reset ya as it gets ya off the chat

I live in the same building as shibaa and am friends with him and his bro. We all like to play FFXI. I have verizon DSL and do not have this issue. Meaning it is solely a Adelphia/TW issue. Also I was present for Shibaa's chat sessions with "Customer Care" (*Cough Cough* BS) they did not treat him in a friendly manner, while he was very polite in his language, but very insistent that he was right. They gave him the back and forth run around. Trying to make it out to be Square Enix's fault even though I could come upstairs and use the web page or log into the game. TW really doesn't care as long as they get their money.

Same problem here, haven't been able to access FFXI since Thursday. This might be unrelated, but since the same day, I have not been able to host a Gears of War game. It says that my router settings don't allow it, but I haven't changed them.

Earthlink customers and LocalNet customers also have this issue.Or didn't you know that beyond the scope of Verizon and the cable company?

He was not polite at all. Did you actually READ the transcripts? The starred out words is notated as vulgarity. He wanted the company to "f**king realize this" as this was "pissing me off" and then he wanted a "god damn credit" for service. He expected someone to take that language, continuous arguing and abuse while speaking to him?He states he works in inbound customer service? Then he should KNOW how to talk to people. That doesn't include vulgarity to get a point across. Or is that how he is treated all day and wants to take out his frustrations and lack of sexual relations on the cable company? For someone in customer service he should know better and it shows that he didn't. Look how his crap killed the thread. No one is siding with him that he handled the problem correctly.

So an update to the issue, I am now recieving a timewarner IP address and part of the timewarner domain, lets hope their customr service is better than adelphia. And I did not start out rude, I was insistent, but not rude, but then the guy tells me I need to go to local branch to get a decent answer (aka leave me alone), and i get directed to timewarner support (aka leaves us alone) and went there without being rude, and that person i was not rude to, they didnt even have me in chat for 2 min, they said i was not their customer yet and disconnected the chat, I did not even get a transcript of that. and in relation to language, you need to warn a customer of their profanity before disconnecting, this is how customer care does it, you dont just hang up or reset my modem to force a disconnect,. Adelphia had comming exactly what they got. I have had several past experiences with their customer care. Anyway issue appears to be fixed so its a dead horse now.
