I think so too... Buddhist monks are suppose to be removed from society, or at least significant degree of their teachings try so. Not the Japanese ones, why don't we let religion dictate all our political policies then.
I love someone's comment above: maybe the Chinese should disallow America athletes for their stance in Iraq and Afghanistan, human right mistreatment of Blacks, etc.Let's take it further:Boycott the British for the killing of Irish, Africans etc.Boycott the Australians for their almost genocide of indigenous people.Boycott the Kiwi for the same.Boycott the French for their wars in North Africa and Indochina.Boycott the Belgians for their past atrocities in Congo.Boycott the Canadians for their treatment of the Indians, Quebecers for their racist policies toward it's Anglophone population.Boycott the Italians for Mussolini ambitions in North Africa which resulted in the killing of Libyans.........All the above, of course, would lead us nowhere. As was said: Let us build bridges and not walls.Let's leave politics aside: we are all guilty. WE all do not have a higher moral ground from which to preach to others about anything.Let's enjoy our Olympics this year.
The Chinese believe that Tibet is their Poland. If Tibet gets democracy and self-determination, democracy in China is soon to follow. They would also loose Taiwan. The Dalai Lama has spoke about the importance of democracy and secular governments for Buddhists, similar to pope John Paul, Poland and Catholics. Tibetans want democracy. China fears the domino effect.

Well since we didn't try to stop it, it's at least nice to see one of our allies having the balls to do this...

Where did you get that number from? The 1.2 million Tibetan killed. Please show some proof so we know you aren't making it up.

Especially when that hostility has a lot of biased opinions in it.

Sir, you are making a very dangerous and ignorant statement.
