You guys are putting too much into this. Whenever you have millions of people, you're going to have bad eggs. It's a simple law of probability. More people are killed in traffic accidents then murder but you don't hear people freaking out about the freeways 24/7 on the news. At some point someone will go nuts and kill somebody. For any of us to even cast a theory onto why this would happen is just speculation and doesn't do anybody any good. Yes I'm a cynical bastard but murder happens no matter where you are. Any type of reasoning you could come up with would only be based on poor generalizations and stereotypes. That's what Jack Thompson feeds on. You want to be like him?

The Japanese are so polite. They turn themselves in with the evidence.

@ButterBridgeLike I said, it's almost a biggie everytime a crime is reported in Japan. And the Japanese are not the most expressive ethnicity, so often they just hide and let things fester until they explode. You are absolutely correct@PJBennyAs for why we seem to be trivial about this and not on the VTech shootings, well, not 1, but 33 people lost their lives. The larger the number, likely the more solemn we will be about this. I mean, if it's just one person, it's hard to get real sympathy out of most of us. That's the sad truth. I mean, murders are simply too common today for us to be outraged.
