@saigumi I think what it really is is both parties are trying to pander to the "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!" crowd. Video games are really being attacked by both parties. What really makes me laugh though is the conservative pundits who say " is EXACTLY like what the millitary uses to train soliders!" to make their point. They should be HAPPY about that. All the kids are just learning to be soldiers early on so they'll have a head start when they hit boot camp.
Manhunt 2 on the Wii eh? This I had not heard about. The first one didn't really interest me much. I tell you this for a fact though, I WILL buy Manhunt 2 on the Wii JUST BECAUSE OF JACK.Way to go Jack! You may well have lead me to a life of bestiality and necrophelia.. my victims surely wont know whats coming!I hope you're happy.
Unfortunately it's the more traditional "media" that give him press that make him look respectable. Digg and other websites are usually the only ones calling him out as a fool. Rare occasion here lately that one of the major news folks called him out finally.
"Same with him and Fred Phelps. They will never die, just litigate to the end of time."Fred Phelps is not known for suing people. In fact, his actions as a lawyer seem to have been extremely well-intentioned and honorable. From Wikipedia:"Phelps earned a law degree from Washburn University in 1962, and founded the Phelps Chartered law firm in 1964. The first notable cases were of a civil rights nature. "I systematically brought down the Jim Crow laws of this town," he says.[9] Phelps' daughter was quoted as saying, "We took on the Jim Crow establishment, and Kansas did not take that sitting down. They used to shoot our car windows out, screaming we were gentlemen lovers," and that the Phelps law firm made up one-third of the state?s federal docket of civil-rights cases.[12]"Phelps took cases on behalf of African American clients alleging discrimination by school systems, and a predominately black American Legion post which had been raided by police, alleging racially-based police abuse. Phelps' law firm obtained settlements for some clients.[13] Phelps also sued then-President Ronald Reagan over Reagan's appointment of a U.S. ambassador to the Vatican, alleging this violated separation of church and state. The case was dismissed by the U.S. District court.[13] Phelps' law firm, staffed by himself and family members also represented non-white Kansans in discrimination actions against Kansas Power and Light, Southwestern Bell, and the Topeka City Attorney, and represented two female professors alleging discrimination in Kansas universities.[12]"In the 1980s Fred Phelps received awards from the Greater Kansas City Chapter of Blacks in Government and the Bonner Springs branch of the NAACP for his work on behalf of Black clients.[14]"Phelps Chartered also won one of the first reverse discrimination cases.[15]"I'm not opposed to criticism of Phelps' "religious" activities, but what you've done here is lump him in with Jack Thompson as a "person I wish was dead" and in the process made a baseless claim. This is pure speculation, but I'm willing to bet that you want people dead solely because you're a f**king leftwing ideological fanboy. You probably want me dead right now just for contradicting you! What's your next move?a) Check the Wikipedia page, note the section on "disbarment" and quote it as if to negate everything I quoted, become even smug, and accuse me of being a Republican Christian Fundamentalist and homophobe? That would be the usual response in situations like this.b) Humbly admit that you are an ideological fanboy and stop being such a jackass?
...Remember that woman who died in the "hold your wee for a wii competition?"Maybe the Wii really is out to get us... =Oo.OBut wait, she was killed by the water, is 'ol jacky gonna ban that too?
