dren,Difference of opinion means nothing if it's just baseless criticsm. I just found it ironic that he would flame Penny Arcade for writing under pseudo-nyms when he himself was posting under one.

I don't know either of the guys personally, but I've seen multiple sources comment about "Gabe". A fair share of people seem to have had problems with "Gabe" and from their accounts, "Gabe" CAN be quite an ass. Heck, the author in question pretty much said he had no problem with "Tycho" at all, actually saying he was well mannered or something to that effect (as with the other stories I have read... it's always Gabe that people have a problem with). Which leads me to believe that the story with the author falls in between the two accounts. Gabe claims he asked an innocent question and the author snapped at him and started being rude to him which then led to Gabe "pwning" the author.The author claimed that Gabe was rude to him and he replied "innocently" back but in a way that could be condescending and Gabe snapped and become exceptionally rude.My opinion is Gabe said something unintentionally rude (or intentionally, but not expecting the author to really take it seriously) to the author who took it personally and said something biting back which then triggered a full out war. In other words, chances are BOTH parties were undoubtedly rude to each other in that case. I HIGHLY doubt Gabe was 100% fault free in this. My whole point here is just the PA guys may not be the "angels" everyone makes them out to be (well, I guess at least one of the PA guys). On the other hand, you do have to respect their charitable donations, but charitable donations doesn't exclude people from being asses. Don't get me wrong, I love Penny Arcade. It's one of the best web comics (on my very short list) in my opinion. I'm saying just because you like the comics doesn't mean the creators of the comics are always 100% fault free.That said, I think this move by Penny-Arcade was a very smooth move. :)
Jack Thompson is a poison to society. He can't just be "ignored". No person should rest until every bit of his integrity is shattered or until he is taken away to the funny farm. Politicians and news organizations take his advice seriously. THAT MUST BE STOPPED. He is spreading lies, calling games like GTA "cop killing simulators" and claiming The Sims is pornographic. Worst of all, he is f**king with one of our most valued civil liberties: free speech. That CANNOT and MUST NOT BE IGNORED.
Sorry, guys. i'm kinda with jack on this one. when he made the promise of a ten thousand dollar donation, he was requsting an actual game. as in one made by the industry, not some crummy flash game.
