I was going to post a small rant here about the blatant stupidity of the "It's only terrorism if they're Muslim" opinion expressed in the link and the title, and then I thought, "why bother?" It's true that the group described in the linked article had a stockpile of armaments - that sounds dangerous to me; it's not true that they were terrorists. They committed no terrorist acts. They committed no acts of violence at all, let alone any indiscriminate acts of violence intended to advance an ideological or political agenda. So, the headline is just ridiculous sensationalism, and full of unsupported innuendo. Terrorist bombs go off pretty much every day in Iraq; who the hell do you think is committing these acts (or the Katyusha rocket attacks from Palestinian territory), if not Muslims? Are we really pointing the finger at them BECAUSE they're Muslims? Digg posts are becoming one long chain of ignorant, misspelled diatribes against the Bush administration, or the "they" that isn't leftist and anti-war, and it seems so unlikely that the foam-at-the-mouth crowd will consider an alternative view point that I have to wonder why I bother.
