Although the source of the attack is questionable (the reason I said "accused"), DoS Attacks are easily verifiable events. To say that, "no this event never happened, the websites were up and running the entire time" is disillusionment and naivety.

The problem is that cnn and other news channels do not give the full picture, starting coverage with the actions of the Russians and do not bother to investigate a little further back in time... Before the Russians entered there had been a lot of killings...Snipers had shot the Ossetian territory, the Georgians shelled the Tshinvali city full of civilians with Grad, tanks attacks... Besides, in South Ossetia there are thousands of Russian citizens. The Russians stopped the massacre. Only some ppl don't even care about the truth or 2000 murdered non-combatants. They know for sure who is to blame. Regardless of facts.

We'll see what happens next. Whats certain, though, is that this thing will escalate into a catastrophe if both sides do not take urgent measures to stop their military actions. Russia needs to call off his airstrikes and stop his advance into Georgia. Georgia must stop his units from attacking. IF they are attacking at all. It's easy to lie about that sort of things because disproving it is difficult. Futhermore i can't imagine Russia settling with anything less than a regime change in Georgia.

Russia took advantage of bad move by Georgians to launch the invasion, that said i do not necessarily support it they should have resorted to another action like limited airstrikes or embargo to force Georgians to back out. Its kinda funny Putin did exactly what Bush would have done. Also do not know what Georgia was thinking where they expecting US to come charging to their rescue?

Just one thing. Russia is not the one to be given orders to stop. Other countries had chances to prevent all this hell, but they didn't listen when Russia was talking about Georgian military preparations and about Georgian agression against the Ossetians. Now it's too late.

Yep, exactly, that explains with any comment supporting Russia or criticizing Georgia instantly gets buried and half a dozen replies to it flaming the person.
