forums.somethingawful.com — The Wii has been out less than a week and already we have reports of a Wiimote strap breaking and the controller hitting the TV. I guess a control scheme where you 'throw' the controller at the screen wasn't such a good idea after all!

My comment on the Red Steel trailer submission 65 days ago,"I wonder how many people will accidentally throw the wii-mote at their tv's when attempting to throw a grenade?"

what a fat f*ck his wrist was prolly too fat and the strap couldnt fit around it, then it snaped off and the remote sliped out of his greesy f*cking fingers

besides, wtf was that guy doing playing videogames on a rear-projection TV, anyway? I have a Wii. There is no reason your arm should be moving so fast that you can break your TV. If you've got a problem holding on to things, go wash your hands.

Bulls**t could be the case, but i sure as hell know that i've nearly killed or broken everything in my house using the wiimote, on accident. Wii sports is one violent game, especially when you dont leave that "safety strap" on, plus, Nintendo tells me evertime i turn on my wii to put on my safety strap and take a break, i can pause by pressing the + button, and go outside into the beautiful weather... they had to put warnings on about only two things, to make sure you put that strap on to keep your s**t safe, and you need to chill out on the wii. THe latter because nintendo made such a good system. Still. Good thing it was rear projection and not lcd or plasma... He would have felt worse.
