My battery was basically fine, until AFTER I installed the battery update. Now that I updated, my battery quickly drains out for no reason. For example, it'll suddenly jump from 40% down to 10% for no reason. I think numerous people are having this problem too!
The lemon: A large, fresh, "juicy" lemon works best. The nail: Galvanized nails are coated in zinc. I used a 2" galvanized common nail. The penny: Any copper coin will work. (Canadian pennies from 1960 - 2001 all worked)Creating the battery: Insert a penny into a cut on one side of the lemon. Push a galvanized nail into the other side of the lemon. The nail and penny must not touch.
You Apple fanboys make it sound like Apple is the only computer company which gives you a replacement computer when you have a problem. Well, Dell gave me a free monitor when the one they shipped me didn't turn on........so I really don't think Apple was just being nice to you. It's standard for companies to do these kind of things.........it's also good public relations
@solarwindsBulls**t other computer companies care about the consumer. I had an HP laptop that needed the power supply replaced 3 times over the course of a month. EVERY f**kING TIME I wanted to have it serviced by HP, they resisted and made accusations of me damaging the computer myself. The final time, they refused to believe that I had nothing to do with the power supplyr being retarded (honestly, what can the normal consumer do to a power supply 3 times?) and they wanted to charge me a quarter the cost of the laptop to fix it.I now have a MacBook, and a few weeks ago the plug started to melt from the inside out. I went to the genius bar and literally said all of 4 words to the genius there and I walked away with a brand new power adapter free of charge. Yeah you know what? Apple does suck. f**k them for being so nice, and actually giving a s**t about losing customers.
I installed the battery update 2 days ago and now the system showing I have 3h 17 mins of battery run time instead of 2 hours like usual. The battery update works pretty well.
My macbook battery stopped showing up in the menu bar yesterday morning. I took it over to my local apple store last night and had a replacement in about 30 minutes. According to the guy working the genius bar the batteries get discharged past the point of return and can't be charged (I left mine on standby for a week while on vacation). The update is supposed to fix that providing that it gets applied before your battery gets to that point.
