From the article:"Notice Word Mobile. It has the Office 2007 Ribbon, but it appears to be lifted directly from Word 2007 and far too small to be used on a mobile device. Assume that this was put in for the mockup, and not an actual application screenshot, but also assume that they are going in the direction of a Ribbon-based user interface for Office Mobile."Also from the article: "This document is a confidential internal use only document, used to explain the plans for Mobile 7, and contains well over a hundred pages of designs, ideas, and changes to the way we interact with our mobile devices."....the OS was still in early development at the time the document was generated so it is very likely that many/most of these screen shots are mockups used to explain the dev efforts.
ya but it looks like its a long way away. Hopefully the iphone 2 will have more functionality and compete well. at least 16 gigs, better camera, gps, etc.
Its an OPTION dumbass. Apple doesnt really give you a choice. And the touch keyboard was out BEFORE the iphone. But again most mactards kinda ignore that fact.
OK, here goes to all you noobs loving it up for apple. Are you a graphic designer? No, then what in the world are you doing with an apple. How is tomtom running on you iphone lately? Not at all oh that's a shame. Can you do anything with you iphone except make calls and listen to music? No Oh what a shame. I have had a touchscreen phone for the last 6 years and guess what i have listened to streaming radio and mp3 for the last 6 years. Satellite radio for the last 2. I have also had car navigation on my pda phone for the last 6 years and get my company mail, calender, address book and tasks via exchange. How is email exchange coming on the iphone? not at all what a shame. So love it up! Enjoy it and let us pros use the real device. (by the way the iphone is about 6 years too late and 2 years too little). All this is not to say it's not a nice looking and working phone and mp3 player but it is far from a professional device like windows mobile.
I don't know if this has been mentioned - but I spoke to one of the Windows Mobile guys at CES this week... his first response was "Windows Mobile What?" - but then became clear he was just trying to hide what he knew. His only tip... get ready for WMC in Barcelona...
Well, that's basically what they are doing for WM7, which shares the same codebase as the Zune HD, as well as very strict minimum hardware requirements (no more 524MHz phones). These specs were leaked last spring (including the shared codebase).

Iphone was nice and fuzzy but MS mobile kept the functionality.MS mobile 7 keeps the functionality, skips the fuzzy, and goes straight to slick !!
