leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com — Guns N' Roses fans, the wait is over. After 17 years of polishing ---or whatever it is that rock stars do when they sequester themselves in studios that cost millions of dollars for a decade-plus --- new GNR music has finally, made its way to the public.

The first GnR album was good, but the rest were kinda crappy. Axl could never write his own music anyway, 1/2 of the songs in Use your illusion were remakes of other people's stuff. Remember the Spaghetti Incident? That was an entire album of cover songs. Axl can sing his balls off but can't write a good song to save his life (or career). I am not surprised it took him 17 years to get this out.

They had plenty of joke acts around that era. All those s**tty hair bands. Poison, Motley Crue, Def Leopard...how the f**k could anyone like those bands!?

Here we are 17 years later and talking about a new Guns'n'Roses song and noone even dares to say "f**k" anymore. Sad.

Agreed that the real G NR died years ago. It's funny, the only person I didn't care for in the original line-up, is the only one still in the band. It's not G NR w/out Slash, Adler, Stradlin and Duff!
