Well bob if it really is that hard to understand I'll explain it for you.It's sad because this has alot of implications that people, especially in certain industries, could benefit from. But the chances of them being able to use it are effectively cut down because those who hold all the chips don't like the idea of change simply because it complicates things. So really you're advice to use it is pointless, since it would be for nothing more than pure recreation since I won't be able to really apply it to anything else without having to convert from one form to the other.

Since a COMPUTER determined that the answer to life, the universe, and everything, it's safe to assume that the base of the answer is hex or octal. So really 0x42 (hex) = 66 (decimal), and 042 (octal) = 34 (decimal). Which may explain why you've been getting life's answers wrong all these years.And remember Halloween is just like Christmas, because 31 OCT = 25 DEC.
