dailygalaxy.com — The internet was amazed by images of the world's first warpship recently, and if you're wondering how science got past the fiction so quickly, remember how Leonardo is credited with inventing the helicopter? Despite not knowing any of the relevant aerodynamics, physics, engineering, scientists are now trying to replicate that process.

This is the equivalent of saying "Is it possible to fuel a spaceship with fairy dust?Seeing as neither has been proven to exist yet, they are both feasible fuel for a decent spaceship.Fairy dust probably looks cooler when it burns though...

if you could use dark energy to expand the space behind the vessel while also using some other method to contract the space in front of the vessel, then yes, you could, and without any acceleration being felt by the crew. i read about it in a science magazine.this article is really s**tty. they only actually talk about dark energy-fueled spacecraft for 1 of the 5 paragraphs. and i don't know what they're blathering about at the end with all the hindu mythology.

Oh, my, Coven, you haven't watched all of the Futurama movies yet, have you? Dark Matter as an energy source is SO pre-3009...

My dad was watching the discovery channel and saw a clip about Schrodinger's Cat. It is a thought experiment where you have a cat in a box with a radioactive element and if it decays a trigger releases a hammer that smashes a vial of cyanide and the cat dies. If the radioactive element doesn't decay then nothing happens and the cat lives. The point being is that the state of the cat is both alive and dead until you observe the cat and determine the actual state of the cat. This kind of crap is why my dad thinks he understand quantum mechanics./facepalm

Something that we THINK exists but we BELIEVE may exist because something else has NO explanation, and therefore we BELIEVE it must exist.Sounds a lot like fairy dust, or Ganisha or the man Jesus to me.NOT scientifically proven. Thanks for proving my point.
