bytes.com— Things are changing. There is a whole new level of curiosity and excitement about getting Apple stamped devices ready to work with our corporate IT.

they missed they're window, that had one for about four years but now i think its starting to close. they haven't had any amazing new computers come out, though they do own the music department and cell phones. but PC will be the general population for the remainder of the decade at least.
"Moreover, out of a group of Mac Pros that are all identical and running the same software, some of them freeze up at random intervals, for no apparent reason."Sounds like a typical Windows scenario to me.
I work for a Mac IT consulting company. We do a lot of work supporting Macs in Windows-based environments and helping the IT departments integrate them into their networks. Most of them are astounded that you can do things like bind a Mac into Active Directory, even log into the system with an AD account.
Parts? Are your employers suckers? Downtime costs a lot of money and paying support staff to fix hardware is not cost effective. I'm thinking that you are talking out of your arse pal.I doubt a large company would bother having their staff trying to fix and trouble shoot hardware problems. It's cheaper just to have some spares.Fixing computers with parts would be what a hobbyist or small company on a tight budget might do if they are not in a time critical business and if they pay their support staff just above minimum wage and expect their support staff to also be certified technicians. In most cases, the most support staff might do is upgrade the ram and install software.
A professor had once mentioned to me something to the effect of: Mac and PC are just two different flavors of evilI am pretty sure he was a big UNIX fan.
Wow, just wow. You are completely retarded aren't you? Your logic makes no sense. We are not talking about cars. Stay off that subject. We are talking about computers. Now, do you really think that Apple makes all of the parts in their computers? If so, go kill yourself. When Macs moved to the Intel chipset they proved exactly how overpriced they were. So let’s take a look here, can you buy the processor somewhere else? Yes. Can you get the ram, video cards, motherboards, etc. somewhere else? Yes. Can you get all those things for cheaper than what Apple charges for them? Hell yes. I don't have anything against Macs other than I feel they are overpriced. Well guess what, pretty much every technical article I have read that was about Macs have all mentioned one thing, they are overpriced. Go to Engadget and see what they say... OVERPRICED!!!! If you have to have a Mac because of its case or name or you are used to the OS, that's fine. But don't try to tell me they are not overpriced. Now go F yourself. Oh, and just incase you want to build your own, http://lifehacker.com/software/hack-attack/build-a ... (oh, also notice the comments that say Macs are overpriced)
You sir, are a tool. Having worked for large corporations, I can tell you, any competent IT guy can properly troubleshoot and repair a PC in a timely manner. Dell's, specifically the Latitude and Optiplex business lines, are built to be worked on with little to no tools for the express purpose of part replacement.
