We didn't join them. They joined us. And you're completely right about going to the protest doesn't mean you're against torture, wars, and illegal wiretaps seeing as how I've heard the Glenn Beck worshiping neocons call for all of this at the protests. I'm against those things though and I was doing this first. Should I just go home and stop performing my civic duty to educate the masses of morons about the growing trend within government just because the morons showed up at my educational seminar? I want them there. That's the point of protests. The government ignores us anyway so to me, the real point of them is to attempt to educate the poor souls still mentally enslaved in their false left-right paradigm that doesn't really exist.

In recent history, two Democratic presidents were fiscal conservatives: Carter and Clinton. Carter pissed off many Democrats because he refused to approve spending on social programs. There have been no fiscally conservative Republican presidents in that time period.
