@bjornski I think if people can't install a modern distro like Ubuntu, even a Mac is too much, and they probably shouldn't be allowed to use anything more sophisticated than an Etch-a-Sketch, because they'll find a way to screw up even a Mac.

"Is Linux ready for the average user?"There's no such thing as an "average user". Evaluate whether Linux is right for you based on your particular requirement. I do not consider myself a "specialist user" but I know that Linux is not right for me now.
