arstechnica.com — "Studies pointing out the dangers of our technology-enabled lifestyles are nothing new. Topics such the possibility of getting brain tumors from our cell phones and the danger of video game violence translating into real-world violence frequently pop up on the front pages of newspapers and web sites (including this one) around the world."

(free with 60 min cooldown)My friend: "I can save myself money if I just hearth home!"wait two seconds...My friend: "Wait, thats not real."

"I dare anyone who thinks it's bulls**t, to just give up the net for a week. No IM's, no email, no web browsing, nothing."A few years ago, I did. It was amazingly relaxing. Maybe here in a few weeks I'll be fortunate enough to do it again. The 'net as a tool is fantastic, sadly having to work 'for' it has turned it into a prison..

Did anybody follow the link to the test? I got a 50 "You are an average on-line user. You may surf the Web a bit too long at times, but you have control over your usage."That test is completely wrong. It should be ALOT higher.

The rasterbator gets the point. You can verify it wilth my research from the mid-90s, link below. Today, add poker and porn to the mix and it's a gambling/sex addiction. Sure, maybe you would never have known you had a predilection toward a vice until you 'discovered' that through use of the Internet, but your addiction is to gambling or pornography, not the medium. One isn't addicted to a casino or a magazine.Internet Connectivity: Addiction and Dependency Study @ http://mediainformatics.biz/iads
