readwriteweb.com — An interesting theory we heard recently is that Google will use Chrome to index the password protected Web. Right now the Chrome Terms of Service prevents Google from indexing private data. But when you consider that Chrome was initially presented as a browser for applications, instead of just web pages, this theory begins to make more sense.

Eh, Chrome has its tabs run in separate processes so they can easily be expanded to windows, rearranged, and closed. That's a very significant feature and one all browsers should adopt.

Heaven forbid register_globals is on and Google passes through a URL with variables set to log in.Google toolbar already caches this sort of stuff and makes it available (even if pw-protected) via the "cached" link under the search result.

Google's server are going to eventually get "too" smart and basically know everything in the world within seconds of it happening. Pretty amazing / scary.
