Militia: composition and classes(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.(b) The classes of the militia are?(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.if you are an able bodied male between the ages of 17 and 45 and not already in the national guard you are in the militia.

Hivemind6, what cult have you joined? As for the Old West and the murder rates: show me the stats. Although if the crime rate was higher in New York or Chicago means nothing at all. There were A LOT more people there. There was also a lot more epidemics in big cities than out in the country. The death rate in 1900 Philadelphia was as great as Calcutta's. So we reformed sanitary conditions, housing codes, and we got vaccines and penicillin, and here we are. If you live in Wyoming, you're probably miles from law enforcement. Go ahead, carry a gun. If you live in New York, you gotta be nuts to carry on the street. If the right wing nut court makes it legal, Jesus. Everybody will run to Wyoming, and then you'll have to put in some stricter gun laws.
