Makes you wonder though... Amazon hasn't come out and said exactly what's happening, so either they don't know, are waiting for the appropriate fix, or are testing fixes. Seems to only be the US side that's getting hit, so it's logical to narrow it down to services like UnBox.Also makes you wonder if Amazon went down just to remind us how much we count on it being up most of the time. Maybe one of these days, the site will back up as "Amazon Classic" with that always up feel to it (and those dreadful circa 2000 styled tabs).Either way, Amazon is certainly getting some publicity out of this, good or ill.
Am I the only one that read the article in hopes to find out about the new service but got disappointed when read it?I really hope Amazon.com can get the movie download system working well. Maybe an unlimited plan like netflix (with more/newer movies) or ad supported shows like hulu but with media center support (for xbox360 and PS3)

It's obvious the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 Bundle pre-order is what knocked Amazon offline.
