As a young corporation, Microsoft used to lay awake at night dreaming of the day when it would have control over all of the governing standards of technology. But, the other kids in the neighborhood kept having fun with their own little toys, like Javascript and HTML, ODF, XML, Java, Perl, Python, Ruby and so many other wondrous creations. The jealousy in Microsoft's little heart grew and grew. The only hope, as Microsoft could see, was to create an army of lawyers to invent hundreds of vaporous patents that it would wield like a mighty sword and slay the wild creativity of all the other kids.

I try not to post Microsoft stories to Digg. Sorry if there was an exception today. By the way, I haven't a clue who CyberPhoenix is. There are a bunch of people who came from elsewhere to mod my comments down and they spread this lie about me (that I'm CyberPhoenix), among others. They are not regular Digg users They just use Digg Stalker to track my activity here.
