rawstory.com — President Bush's six-year invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq will end up costing Americans about $1.5 trillion, or nearly twice as much as the White House has actually spent to fight its wars, because of unseen costs like inflation, rising oil prices and expensive care for wounded veterans.

The funny thing is that the U.S. spends so much money and effort in securing their oil. By the time it is actually secured the country will have gone bankrupt and won't be able to afford the oil anymore. Say bye bye suv, hello bicycle :)

Glad someone pointed out that he wasn't a 1-term president. I, for one, was volunteering for the Kerry team. Pisses me off that I'm forced to pay these taxes without representation. Thanks for voting for Bush, dumbasses.

How much would it have cost to put solar panels on every home to encourage use of electric vehicles to reduce oil consumption a level that could be domestically supplied?

So by that logic you'd be totally OK with Americans entering a war 'justly' but with no weapons, armor or other equipment?Oh, righto then.It seems you're the one who's missed my point. Whether or not the war should end is not the topic of debate. The fact of the matter is the war is real and while the troops are there they have every right to be as well protected as possible. Sending badly funded troops into a war to die is just as unjust as entering an unwinnable war in the first place.
