Dude, get up off your knees. I've been trying out their new site, and their "City" search (equivalent to Google Maps) is smooth. It zooms more smoothly, and has better contextual menu controls, not to mention a few other cool features that Google Maps lacks. I just started using it 2 minutes ago, so I don't know how well their search results work yet, but their map section has made a strong showing.Don't blindly follow the leader, or you might just miss the next "best thing."
lol, I don't just blindly follow the leader. Google works best for me, so I'm going to continue to use. I've used Ask before, and I just wasn't happy with it. I don't even use Yahoo!. I'm not following any kind of leader, I just use what works best for me. If Ask works best for you, then great, use it.

What good is it if their results aren't any good?

ask.com is underrated because of the more popular search engines like google and yahoo. personally i think ask.com is better than both.
