youtube.com— Mark Larsen of 1040 AM WWBA interviewed Mitt Romney on the morning of 1/29/2008. The sneers and chuckles from slippery Romney pushed him over the edge and drove him to support Ron Paul.

Yeah, but if you say that in a story that isn't about Ron Paul, be prepared to be dugg down. The Obama supporters are counting on playing the futility card to convince people to vote for their candidate. They say a vote for Paul is a "wasted" vote. The only wasted vote is a vote for someone you don't support! People have fought long and hard to achieve the right to vote... why would you throw that vote away by allowing the majority to dictate who you vote for? It's absolutely insane.
Anyone have any info or links on this 'One Tax?" It's the first I've heard of it and I'm intrigued. I didn't get any good hits in the first 100 from Google and I couldn't find it on the Cato site Mark mentioned either. Thanks in advance!
Elimination of the income tax without dissolving the Federal Reserve and repealing the 16th Amendment would only mean that other taxes would be funneled toward paying the interest on the massive debt that continues to accrue due to budget overrides, resulting borrowing from the Fed and paying interest thereon. We have been living way above our income for far too long and need to immediately cut spending by trimming the federal bureaucracy. Bringing home our de facto mercenary cops that are scattered around the globe would free up enough funds to ensure the continuation of the Socialist Security program and the public assistance programs that those who really need them have come to rely on. What the incentive will be for them to reenter the work force after the economy improves is a puzzle.
Why did DJ mark call it one percent. its called one percent, why are you changing?"We WOULD make all we needed and more for government expenditures by that 1% tax on general public expense" what happen with this comment?
"I wish Dr. Paul much luck in coming up with a good $170 billion budget."You overlook revenues from excises, tariffs and duties...Ever wonder what we did for financing the building of this country before the advent of the Federal Reserve / IRS--Income Tax (which was a mere 1% when first instituted in 1913)?
Are you stupid, recalcitrant -- or both?jet' ' s inference was that an uninformed voter does nothing for the process but risk installing an unsuitable. The election becomes a crap shoot instead of what it was designed to be.
