I don?t know about you guys, but it is a little bit of a scary thought that shareholders are able to sue and possibly win in a situation like this. There isn?t much doubt that converting Yahoo shares to MS shares is in the best interests of the share holder (I know that it is much more complicated that so stated). But I doubt it is in the best interests for Yahoo as an independent entity and it certainly isn?t in the best interests of a competitive market place. Taken to the extreme it would be in the best interests of all shareholders if all companies in existence were to merge into a single entity where it controlled every aspect of commerce in the world. These members of this lawsuit should sell their Yahoo shares and buy MS shares if that is what the want.
Not to mention all of the incredible philanthropist it has produced. Few have given as much as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, actually...none, none have given as much.
Ok, clearly I didn’t express myself well at all. I’m talking about a specific group of shareholders who are unhappy with the direction taken by the majority shareholders using the legal system in an attempt to override or seek compensation for a decision they didn’t agree with.

Its a very good offer, its more than double the market amount of the stock. If I offered to double your shares, of course you'd take it.
