gizmodo.com — A fake Bruce Springsteen concert. Horrible acting. Likes like "Vista, I've gotta get me some of that." This new internal Microsoft video might just rival the infamous "WUH-WUH-WUH-WINDOWS... THREEEE-EIGHTY-SIX!" video from 20 years ago.

I can't believe it either. This is one of the wealthiest companies on Earth, that invests millions upon millions (if not billions) into marketing and advertising... and this ... this is the best they can come up with for a motivational internal video?! I guess money really can't buy you everything (ie: style). Who the hell did they hire to do this video? The local Seattle High School theater group? (Sorry... I didn't mean to insult the local High School kids who would have done a better video.) I am a big fan of Microsoft products. I love XP... especially Media-Center Edition. I even like some of the look and feel of Vista. I love programming in C#... I have great memories of MS-DOS and MS-Basic in my youth... but... but seriously, WTF? Microsoft just doesn't get it anymore, when it comes to image and marketing. Their getting their ass handed to them by Apple in terms of coolness factor. I'ts amazing to think how bad Public Relations, Arrogance, and total un-coolness, and lack of hipness might just possibly bring down one of history's most powerful and legendary companies.

It's pretty horrible, but it still looks like it was too expensive to produce to be a "joke"

"No, it was made around the time Windows 95 was released."How does that even come close to answering my question?

You don't really get more out of touch with todays consumer and for that matter your employees than that. Fortunately and like many have said...its a joke. I hope?

Now all they have to do is replace the office staff with the cast of 30 Rock and they'd have a real TV commercial
