nytimes.com — Intel's Penryn 45nanometer CPUs are set to take the world on online video by storm. The chips, which contain transistors so small, 2000 of them side-by-side would equal the width of a human hair, leak less energy & provide more speed than current processors. They will also ship with embedded commands which will vastly improve video encoding.
