Why would I want to worry with "drag and drop" when iTunes handles it for me? Plus the little screen on my video iPod is only needed till I can plug it in to the hotel TV to watch prerecorded videos. Mainly my iPod is for audio use. And it's nice being able to carry around almost my entire music collection when I'm driving for 8 hours. Select a playlist, set on shuffle mode, no more worries with what CD to listen to.
I have an iPod 5G with RockBox. I have it because it's the smallest 60gig player out their and it's decently priced. The Cowon A2 is awesome but it's way to big. Looking back I might have gone with the Cowon X5 if I knew they had a 60gig version but at the time the iPod looked the best and trust me, I look at the alternatives.

I have been using Handbrake for quite a while now, mostly nowadays just to rip DVDs and burn, since I now have a new shuffle

the recommendation was to use Mac the Ripper before using Handbrake so that you'll limit the wear on your drive.

Handbrake is not the easiest converter out there, although it is free. The latest version is on their site, http://handbrake.fr/ and if you need help using it... there's an excellent tutorial here, http://dvdtoipodreview.com/?page_id=480

You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 format, the audio is Mp3 format for iPod. I like the DVD to iPod Converter Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used. Also, the output quality is great. You can download this software free from herehttp://www.dvdtoipodtouch.biz/dvdtoipodtouchsuite/ ...There is a step by step guide about downloading free videos, music from limewire, youtube, etc to iTunes for iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, etc. It is easy-to-use and the converting speed is fast.http://www.dvdtoitunes.net/download-free-video-to- ...For mac users:http://www.macdvdconverter.com/mac-dvd-ipod-suite/ ...Some useful information you can get on the official site:http://www.itouch.com
