Nope I get it too, odd seems like a simple fix unless they are having hardware or hacking issues.

If Adobe would just release Photoshop for Linux I'd switch today.

"Widescreen troubles? Downloading drivers? What year is this?"Linux comes with more drivers pre-installed than Windows ever has. If anyone's ever installed Windows from an official CD (not a restore disc), you know exactly what I mean.BTW, the widescreen issue is restricted to Ubuntu. Fedora 7 doesn't have that problem.

I'm getting worn out by all the different flavors of a distro out there. At some point, they just need to be application packages on top of the normal ubuntu distro and marketed as such.

64Studio wants to package it, once they do it'll make its way into Debian, then into ubuntu.

BTW, if youre concerned about the "DVD" size, you can very easily install via 1 GB flash drive. Theyre pretty common these days and really handy. Failing that, try all these other methods! Would have been nice if Howtoforge could have covered a couple alternative methods! Sheesh!https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation

Note: doesn't work for amd64.For me it says:"Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntustudio.org/ubuntustudio/dists/feisty/Release Unable to find expected entry main/binary-amd64/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)"I saw a link to a torrent of the theme only some where, maybe I'll try that.
